Cross-cutting education program in climate and energy studies
Chicago Curriculum on Climate and Sustainable Growth
The Institute aims to provide students with an education that allows them to learn about the climate and sustainable growth challenge from all angles. It is designed to be adopted by other universities and used in multiple contexts. In this way, the Curriculum not only fundamentally alters students’ understanding of the world’s climate and energy challenge and the solutions needed to address it, but also profoundly and globally alters climate and energy education and ultimately the workforce through an engaged network of domestic and foreign universities.
The Institute has partnered with Ahmedabad University to form a new joint center. The Center was announced as part of the launch of Ahmedabad University's Climate Institute in the fall 2024. The new joint center will encompass full-time undergraduate and graduate programs, a collaborative Master’s program, and an executive education program aimed at impact and capacity building in India. The joint center will also facilitate short- and long-term exchanges for faculty and students, as well as joint research initiatives, conferences, and more.
